LK Legal is a boutique Australian law firm founded by brother and sister team Ashley and Lydia Kelso.
We conduct internal investigations and legal audits for government and business, and support litigation with cited chronologies and document review. The capability sits in one firm. We've built our own internal capability for reviewing large record sets, and we use it alongside years of experience conducting legal audits for government on large volumes of highly sensitive files.
That experience grew out of many years acting for government and private clients in personal injury claims, statutory schemes and government inquiries: matters where the information is highly sensitive and the answers are buried in tens of thousands of pages of unstructured files. Ashley and Lydia are unwilling to compromise on the quality of their work, which led them to become skilled in lean processes, project management and technology, to work through large data sets and get the best results for their clients, within the time and budget needed.
Having dual expertise in law and engineering means we are as comfortable talking with your IT provider as with your general counsel, and even translating between the two to keep everyone in step on an engagement. Because we have developed our own internal expertise and technology, we can pivot quickly and adapt to the needs of each matter. We are never beholden to an outside technology vendor implementing a feature request to get the job done. This also lets us give you quick preliminary findings when time is tight, and take on large record sets on demanding timeframes.
